Prehistoric Series - Classic Jump, Run, & Punch Games

Prehistorik is a platform game developed by Titus Interactive for the Amiga, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, and DOS. Titus Interactive also published it and released the game in 1991.

The playable character is a neanderthal armed with a club. In a search for food, the neanderthal must hit dinosaurs and other animals that come in his way. Some hostile beings can't be beaten, so the player must dodge them. A boss awaits in every even-numbered level. There are seven levels. Try to win right now.

Prehistorik 2 is a sequel to the platform game Prehistorik. It was developed by Titus Interactive for DOS and Amstrad CPC in 1993.

Like in its predecessor, the main character of Prehistorik 2 is a caveman who goes in quest of food, fighting various animals and humorous end of level bosses.

The game is a simple platform game where the player walks and jumps his/her way through the levels and whacks enemies in the head with a club. Points can be collected by both whacking enemies and collecting items (including food, diamonds, video games, etc). The levels contain hidden food items which can be discovered by hitting the right spots with the club.

Syndicate Wars

Syndicate Wars is the third video game title in the Syndicate series created by Bullfrog Productions in 1996. Unlike the first game, Sean Cooper was not involved in development. It was released for MS-DOS and the PlayStation, with a Sega Saturn version also fully developed but never published. It was the final game in the series.

Syndicate Wars presents a follow-up to the events in Syndicate. At the game's opening, the player-controlled syndicate (called the Eurocorp Syndicate) is at the peak of its power (achieved in the previous game), an alliance of corporations controlling the world through a combination of military and economic power, and technological mind control. Corporate decisions are facilitated through a number of AI entities connected through a global communications network.

As the game opens, this totalitarian status quo is threatened by the emergence of a virus named "Harbinger" in the global communications system, damaging mind-control implants and leaving citizens vulnerable to co-option. Some of the newly liberated persons, dubbed "unguided citizens," choose to engage in an armed insurrection. The Unguided appear in early missions as random antagonistic elements but over time form a well-organized militia.

Destruction Derby 2 - Wreckin Racing Games

Destruction Derby 2 is the sequel to the Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and PC title, Destruction Derby. Here the player must race on up to seven different circuits, in a range of modes, similar to its predecessor. The modes are Wrecking Racing (where the player must destroy or spin the other competitors), Stock Car (a typical race where it's 1st to the flag), and Destruction Derby, which is based around the crash arenas (more below). Commentator Paul Page performed as the announcer, shouting small phrases during moments of impact, such as; "Yeah!!" and "Go easy on the paintwork!" etc. Destruction Derby 2 was added to the PlayStation Platinum range in 1997. Originally the game was released in a double-CD cover (even though the game was only on one CD), but the platinum range version was released in an ordinary PlayStation cover.

Pingus - Lemmings Games Clone

Pingus is a free Lemmingstm-like puzzle game covered under the GNU GPL. It features currently 22 playable levels and runs under a wide variety of operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOSX, etc.)

Pingus started at the end of 1998 with the simple goal to create a Free (as in freedom, not as in free beer) Lemmingstm clone. The Free means you get the sources and are allowed and encouraged to change and distribute them. You basically get everything that I used to create this game. Over the years it has grown quite a bit over the original goal and become something more than just a clone; we have original artwork, a built-in level editor, new actions, multiplayer, and a few other features.

If you don't know Lemmingstm, here comes a short introduction. It is a puzzle game developed in 1991 by DMA Design. The player takes command in the game of a bunch of small animals and has to guide them through levels. Since the animals walk on their own, the player can only influence them by giving them commands, like build a bridge, dig a hole or redirect all animals in the other direction. The goal of each level is to reach the exit; for this, multiple combinations of commands are necessary. The game is presented in a 2D side view.

While Pingus is based on the idea of Lemmingstm, it however doesn't try to be an exact clone; it has included a few ideas of its own, like the world map or secret levels, which might be familiar from games like Super Mario World and other Nintendo games. It also has a few new actions, like the jumper, which weren't present in the original game.
